Abstract Content
Currently a great deal of venture capital is being directed at the development of new solar cell design. The need to develop a high efficiency cell has never been greater as energy cost continue to rise. UV/VIS/NIR is an important tool in the characterization of novel coatings and of surface performance relative to the a materials ability to reflect or absorbs the sun's energy. Spectrophotometers are key in being able to measure these components and provide detailed information to engineers and researchers on the performance of the coatings and other materials in the search for high performance solar cells.
