This networking session is directed to the instrument vendors, practicing laboratories, and agencies (national, state, and local) receiving laboratory data who would like to discuss the ability of instruments to out put their data in a standard XML format. We are interested in hearing from instrument vendors on the feasibility of delivering instrument data in a standard XML format such as AnIML. We are also interested in hearing from national, state and local agencies and laboratories about the delivery of electronic data. We hope to provide all interested groups with feedback on the following topics: the use and advantages/disadvantages of common XML based electronic data deliverables for both processed and raw instrumental data, the use of developing associated common tools for the electronic review and processing of data, and the future data mining of raw instrument data.
