Description:
The residue analysis discussion will be focused on quantification and qualitative methods for pesticides, antibiotics and other residues. Examples will be provided as well as open discussion of recent developments, issues, and shortfalls related to techniques such as chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy. The proposed topics include: confirmatory procedures; limitations of multiresidue methods; general qualitative methods for unknowns in product adulteration and falsification. Attendees are invited to share problem solving techniques and to identify issues needing further method development and research.
