|Reliable testing of drug consumption e.g. for traffic control is still challenging as different drugs – in particular Marihuana due to increasing legalisation but also alcohol, heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and others – play a significant role. While hand-held, rapid alcohol test equipment is available since many years, other drugs still are controlled using test stripes which is time consuming and requires thorough control of sampling. Furthermore, significant numbers of false positives can be observed.|
The networking session provides a platform for discussion about the challenges with regard to sampling and analysis of suitable media, the potential of human breath for the detection of drug consumption as a non-invasive method and on the interpretation and visualisation of the results.
