|Session Title: ||Choosing the Best Laboratory Improvement Project |
|Facilitator Name:||Katherine Temple|
|Date: ||Tuesday, March 7, 2017|
|Start Time: ||10:30 AM|
|In this session, we will discuss ways to improve efficiency, output, and productivity while maintaining the laboratory user experience. Many labs are pushed to do more but funds for capital projects and increasing head count are not available. |
We will discuss participants’ experiences with choosing the best laboratory improvement project that resulted in the strongest ROI. The group will then cover more specific ways of managing samples and experiments, improving information flow, and data sharing using instrument automation systems (i.e. CDS), laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN).
Participants can share their success stories and opportunities for improvement as well as pose questions to others about specific improvement projects.
