Course Description
This course will provide an introduction to Ion Chromatography with practical, industry-based applications. We will discuss challenges encountered with samples from environmental, petrochemical, chemical, power utility, and pharmaceutical applications. Attend this course and learn about optimization of chromatographic conditions, column and detector selection, sample preparation and basic troubleshooting.

Target Audience
Practical approaches are discussed to address the challenges with Ion Chromatography applications. The course is ideal for lab chemists, quality control personnel, analytical chemists involved in method development and managers interested in learning about Ion Chromatography and applications.

Course Outline
IC has become an important tool for anions, cations, amines, organic acids, carbohydrates and amino acids in a variety of industries. This short course will provide a practical introduction to Ion Chromatography and method development based on actual sample matrices. You will leave with a clear understanding of the challenges associated with IC method development. We will emphasize optimization of chromatographic conditions, column and detection method selection, sample preparation and basic troubleshooting. Key regulatory methods using Ion Chromatography from the environmental, petrochemical, chemical, power and pharmaceutical industries will be discussed.
