Course Description
Customization of a COTS LIMS can be a tricky business. This is especially true when a future upgrade path is desired. Many LIMS have built-in capabilities to extend functionality, but more often than not these features do not solve every issue. This course will discuss methods to implement subtle or dramatic customizations to solve real-world requirements without compromising the ability to upgrade to future versions of the LIMS. It will cover the use of stock features and extensions, custom data structures and custom business logic.

He has over 15 years of experience in application programming and software development in a variety of industries including public health, genomics, measurement standards, finance and entertainment.
